How does it work?

Register your bike for free

*

The first step is to register your bike at BikeBouncer, it's free and takes less than 5 minutes.

Click here to proceed to registration.

Tag your bike

*

After registering, you can get special tags for your bike. Our options range from free barcodes which you can download, print and stamp, to unique electronic RFID chips that goes inside the bike frame.

Tagging will also make dodgy buyers think twice before buying stolen bikes. They'll know a stolen bike can be checked and reported at any time, by anyone. If they don't know about it, it's even worse! That way we're attacking both ends of black markets: the supply and the demand.

Lost your bike? Had it stolen?

*

If you ever have your bike stolen, log to your BikeBouncer account and set its registration status to "Lost" or "Stolen". You can provide details like the date and location where it happened, and we'll show you some relevant information like nearest police station and contact numbers. The more information you provide, the more our system can help you out.

We have partnered with major stores and online auctions, so buyers can check the bike status before bidding on it. If someone tries to sell your stolen bike on eBay for example, users can check its status and contact you in case the bike is flagged. Click here for more info about our partners.

Help other members

*

BikeBouncer is highly community driven. Users can help each other by reporting known black market locations, discussing how to fight thieves and even scanning suspicious tagged bikes on the streets.

As we've said before, anyone can check the status of a bike and report it to the owner in case it's stolen.
